Typical Services, Treatments and Procedures
The HVC Progressive Unit provides quality care to all its patient populations through a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach. Comprehensive, professional patient care is provided during the inpatient stay, followed by personalized discharge planning to meet outpatient needs.
The unit provides care for specific patient populations needing arterial blood pressure monitoring or cardiac monitoring (i.e. post-operative carotid endarterectomy, carotid stent, endovascular AAA repair) in addition to other surgical care.
The unit supports the hospital's educational mission by acting as a clinical site for nursing, pharmacy and medical students. The attending physicians oversee resident physicians who provide coverage of all patients admitted to the various services of the unit.
