Our Services
UW Health Heart and Vascular Care provides state-of-the-art diagnostic, medical and surgical options for all patients with heart failure (cardiomyopathy), primarily through our Heart Failure Management Program.
The chart belows displays the percent of UW Hospital and Clinics congestive heart failure patients who got all the recommended care appropriate for them, including:
- Left ventricular systolic (LVS) function assessment
- Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor medication or angiotensin receptor-blocker (ARB) medication for patients with left ventricular systolic dysfunction
- Smoking cessation education
- Discharge instructions discussing activity, medications, diet, follow-up, symptoms and weight monitoring
