Lo que debe esperar
Es posible que su hijo note un dolor leve en la garganta. Quizás deba hacer gárgaras con agua ligeramente salada o que chupe caramelos/dulces duros.
Es posible que su hijo tenga una sensación de llenura o dolores de gas.
En casa
- Descanse hoy. Su hijo puede volver a realizar su rutina cotidiana normal mañana.
- Su hijo puede volver a tomar sus medicamentos rutinarios a menos que le indiquen lo contrario.
- Su hijo puede volver a consumir su dieta normal de alimentación.
- Es posible que tenga cierto dolor y enrojecimiento en el área de la línea intravenosa durante un día o dos. Puede aliviarlo colocando un paño tibio y humedecido sobre el área. Por favor, contacte al doctor de cabecera de su hijo si esto no mejora en un par de días.
- Su hijo no debe tomar decisiones importantes ni ir a la escuela hoy.
Llame inmediatamente al doctor de su hijo si
- vomita sangre
- tiene mareotiene heces con sangre
- tiene dolor en el pecho
- tiene dolor abdominal
- tiene fiebre o escalofríos

What to Expect
Your child may notice a mild soreness in her throat. She may wish to gargle with lightly salted water or suck on hard candy.
Your child may have a feeling of fullness or gas pains.
At Home
- Rest today. Your child may resume her normal daily routine tomorrow.
- Your child may resume her routine medicines unless told otherwise.
- Your child may resume her normal diet.
- There may be some soreness and redness at the IV site for a day or two. You can relieve this by placing a warm, moist washcloth over the site. Please contact your child's primary doctor if this does not improve in a couple of days.
- Do not make any important decisions today or return to school.
Call your child's doctor right away if your child has
- vomited blood
- lightheadedness
- bloody stools
- chest pain
- abdominal pain
- fever or chills
