1. Levante el asiento del inodoro.
2. Lávese las manos con agua y jabón. Séquese las manos con toallas de papel limpias.
3. Abra el recipiente (frasquito) para la orina. No toque ni el recipiente ni la tapa por dentro. Abra una toallita.
4. Limpie la cabeza del pene con una toallita. Comience en la abertura de la uretra y vaya hacia atrás con un movimiento circular. Si no le han hecho la circuncisión, tire del prepucio hacia atrás para limpiar la cabeza del pene. Tire la toallita en un cubo de la basura cercano. Sostenga el prepucio mientras orina.
5. Orine un poco en el inodoro. Mientras orina acerque el contenedor para tomar la muestra de orina. Termine de orinar en el inodoro. El recipiente no tiene que estar lleno hasta arriba.
6. Enrosque la tapa en el recipiente de orina. Seque el exterior del contenedor si está mojado. Lávese las manos.
7. Entregue la muestra al personal de la clínica.
Si se equivoca al tomar la muestra, por favor pida un nuevo recipiente y toallitas.
Midstream Urine Sample - Male
Before you start, be sure to read all the instructions. Please ask questions if you are unsure about any of these steps. Please follow the steps carefully.
1. Raise the toilet seat.
2. Wash your hands with soap and water. Dry your hands with clean paper towels.
3. Open the urine container. Do not touch inside of container or cover. Open one towelette.
4. Clean the head of the penis with a towelette. Start at the opening of the urethra and circle back. If you are not circumcised, pull the foreskin back to clean the head of the penis. Throw the towelette in the nearby wastebasket. Hold the foreskin back during urination.
5. Urinate a small amount into the toilet. Then bring the container into the urine stream to catch a sample. Stop the stream. Finish urinating into the toilet. The container does not have to be filled to the top.
6. Screw the cover onto the urine container. Dry the outside of container if it is wet. Wash your hands.
7. Give the sample to the clinic staff.
If you make a mistake in collecting the specimen, please ask for a new container and towelette.
