Cuidados de un Injerto de Piel
Cuidados de un injerto de piel con soporte de algodón o soporte de Spandex
_____Mantenga elevada el área del soporte para así prevenir la hinchazón, lo cual podría dañar el injerto de piel nueva.
_____ Mantenga seco el soporte.
_____ Mantenga la piel alrededor del soporte limpia a base de lavar alrededor de la zona con una esponja con agua y jabón.
_____ Observe si se presentan signos y síntomas de infección. Llame a la Clínica de Quemaduras/Heridas al (608) 263-7502 si tiene alguna preocupación.
- Aumento del enrojecimiento (aproximadamente 1 pulgada de ancho) e hinchazón alrededor del injerto de piel.
- Drenaje con olor maloliente o pus en el injerto de piel.
- Síntomas parecidos a los de la gripe (fiebre, escalofríos, náusea o vómito, dolor muscular); y/o aumento del dolor.
_____ Restricciones de actividad ____________________________________
_____ Tome _______________ para controlar el dolor.
Cuidados de un injerto de piel sin soporte
_____ A partir de _______________ lave el área con agua y un jabón suave.
_____ Póngase la loción hidratante __________ para evitar que la piel nueva se seque o agriete (parta).
_____ Cure las ampollas o las zonas abiertas con _______________.
_____ Ponga una gasa de Aquaphor® en la zona del injerto.
_____ Envuelva la zona donante con una gasa enrollable y no expandible (non-stretch roller gauze.)
_____ Coloque la venda elástica (ace bandage) según lo que le han indicado y lea “Hechos de Salud Para Usted” (Health Facts For You) Número ______.
_____ Observe si se presentan signos y síntomas de infección (vea lo anteriormente descrito). Llame a la Clínica de Quemaduras/Heridas al (608) 263-7502 si tiene alguna preocupación.
Skin Graft Care
Care of a Skin Graft with a Cotton Bolster or Spandex Bolster
______ Keep the bolster area elevated to prevent swelling which could damage the new skin graft.
______ Keep the bolster dry.
______ Keep the skin around the bolster clean by sponge bathing around the site with soap and water.
______ Watch for signs and symptoms of infection. Call the Burn/Wound Clinic at(608) 263-7502 with any concerns.
- Increased redness (about 1 inch in width) and swelling around the skin graft.
- Foul smelling drainage or pus from the skin graft.
- Flu-like symptoms (fever, chills, nausea or vomiting, muscle aches) and/or increased pain.

Care of a Skin Graft without a Bolster
______ Wash the area with mild soap and water beginning on .
______ Apply moisturizing lotion _________________ to keep new skin from drying or cracking.
______ Treat blisters or open areas with ____________________.
______ Apply Aquaphor®gauze to graft site.
______ Wrap graft area with non-stretch roller gauze.
