Weight and Vital Signs Record
A sudden weight gain may mean that your body is retaining fluid.
You should weigh each morning:
-Same time
-After urinating
-Before dressing
-Before eating breakfast

- It is important to record your weight daily so you have a weight diary to report to your doctor or nurse. A form is included to keep a record of your weight.
- Call your doctor if your weight increases by 3 to 5 or more pounds and stays up for more than 1 day.
- Limit the sodium (salt) in your diet to prevent fluid build-up and weight gain.
Keeping a close watch on your weight can help your doctor better control your heart health and adjust your medicines. This may help you to live a fuller life.
