  • Adult Infectious Diseases Consult Service
  • Immunocompromised Infectious Diseases Consult Service
  • Antimicrobial Stewardship
  • Clinical Microbiology
  • Hematology, Oncology, or Bone Marrow Transplant
  • Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit
  • HIV/ID longitudinal clinic

Acute Care Elective Rotations

  • Pediatric Infectious Diseases Consult Service
  • Solid Organ Transplant
  • General Medicine
  • Home Infusion/OPAT
  • Pharmacy Administration
  • Academia/Antimicrobial Laboratory Research
  • Drug Policy Program
  • Acute Nephrology Consults
  • Emergency Medicine
  • Nutrition Support
  • Others based on resident interest

Activities while on the rotation will include (but are not limited to):

  • Round with the patient care team daily (Infectious Diseases consults or primary service for rotation)
  • Solve medication-related problems for all patients on antimicrobial therapy
  • Serve as drug information resource for all team members
  • Engage in team-related projects
  • Communicate and interact with pharmacists, attending physicians, resident physicians, infectious diseases fellows, microbiologists, nurses, advanced practice providers, social work, etc.
  • Precept students and PGY1 residents
