UW Hospital Named One of Nation's First Certified Comprehensive Stroke Centers
The name of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) program has changed to better reflect the full range of training opportunities offered. The program, now called the Emergency Education Center (EEC), at UW Hospital and Clinics in Madison, Wisconsin provides training in the areas of emergency and medical care.
The Emergency Education Center offers interdisciplinary educational programs in emergency medical care at all levels, which positively impacts the mission and operations of UW Hospital and Clinics and the Center for Health Sciences.
From CPR courses to advanced life support courses to pre-hospital education and EMS liaisons, the Emergency Education Center supports health professional education and training needs throughout the region.

UW Health's 2013 EMS Olympics takes place on Thursday, June 27, at Kalahari Resort and Convention Center.
