CPR Recognition and Renewal (Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Course - BLS)
The BLS Healthcare Provider course teaches CPR skills for helping victims of all ages and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction. It is intended for participants who provide health care to patients in a wide variety of settings. Both recognition and renewal courses are available and allow participants to obtain a CPR card with an expiration date of two years.
Please note: The CPR Renewal courses are only for those who have a current Healthcare Provider CPR card. The UWHC EEC accepts only AHA Healthcare Provider cards and/or Red Cross Professional Rescuer cards. If you do not have a card or if your card has expired, you must take the CPR Recognition course.
