UW Health's Interdisciplinary Inflammatory Bowel Disease Clinic is dedicated to serving patients with complex cases of two chronic diseases that cause inflammation of the intestines - Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn's Disease. The team of highly skilled gastroenterology physicians and colorectal surgeons work together to treat patients of all ages.

- Evaluation of complex patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)
- Availability of new diagnostic techniques including capsule enteroscopy and push enteroscopy
- Initiation of new therapies including immunosuppression and the expanding list of biologic (antibody) therapies
- Access to clinical research protocols for patients not responding to standard therapies
- Advanced surgical techniques including restorative proctocolectomy and laparoscopic approaches for colectomy and small bowel resections for IBD
