Geriatrics

UW Health physicians specializing in geriatrics and gerontology provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluation and primary and specialty care for individuals over 65 years of age.

Geriatric physicians concentrate on the physical and emotional limitations common in older adults, including such problems as gait/falls, incontinence, osteoporosis, memory and behavioral disorders and nutrition.

Our geriatric physicians emphasize multidisciplinary inpatient and outpatient assessment involving a wide spectrum of health care providers, including social work, pharmacy, occupational and physical therapy, nutrition, nursing and medicine.

In addition to board-certified geriatric physicians, UW Health's expert internal medicine and family practice physicians can coordinate your care with specialty physicians - from diabetes specialists to world-renowned heart and vascular care physicians.
