Gastric Pacemaker Helps Patient with Gastroparesis


During the height of her gastroparesis, a condition that affects the ability of the stomach to empty its contents, Carol Swain ate no solid food for 12 days. A UW Health surgeon implanted a gastric pacemaker to help her regain her health.
