Tax Sheltered Annuity (TSA) & Wisconsin Deferred Compensation (WDC)

 

You may enroll in either or both plans any time.

 

Vendor Options

Contribution Limits

  • The 2013 maximum annual contributions will be established and announced by the IRS later this fall.
  • In 2012, you can defer a maximum of $17,000 with an additional $5,500 allowed if you will be age 50 by the end of the calendar year.

Enrollment

  1. Contact your vendor(s) of choice and request a 403(b) start-up kit/application.  Be sure to identify yourself as a UW Hospital and Clinics employee and provide the appropriate vendor account number. 
  2. Please note that employees may not enroll on the vendor's website.  A paper application is required. 
  3. Submit the vendor application(s) and beneficiary designation directly to the vendor. 
  4. After you receive confirmation that your account has been established, submit a Salary Reduction Agreement (SRA) to Human Resources.

Changes: You can make changes to your contribution amount at any time by submitting a Salary Reduction Agreement (SRA) to Human Resources.

 

As a reminder, WSEU employees are now eligible to enroll in a TSA 403(b) plan.

 

Wisconsin Deferred Compensation (WDC)

  • To enroll or change your WDC contribution, contact WDC at 608-241-6604 or online at www.wdc457.org.
  • The Wisconsin Deferred Compensation (WDC) 457 also provides UWHC employees with the option to contribute on an after-tax basis through a Roth Savings Plan. If you would like to learn more about this plan, please review the WDC Roth Option flyer.
  • Representatives from the WDC program will be available for one-on-one meetings at UW Hospital on the following dates:
