The Annual Benefit Enrollment Period begins on October 7, 2013 and ends on November 1, 2013. This is your annual opportunity to evaluate your benefits, review upcoming program changes, determine your coverage needs for next year, and make appropriate benefit changes.
This is the only time during the year when you are eligible to make benefit plan changes unless you have a life event (e.g. marriage, birth, divorce, etc.) or a change in employment that allows you to change your benefits. By understanding your benefit options, you can get the most out of them. Changes made during this period take effect on January 1, 2014.
UW Hospital and Clinics Benefit Staff will once again hold Employee Benefit Drop-In Sessions
and be available throughout October to answer your questions regarding your benefits and to assist you with paperwork. These informal drop-in sessions will allow us to talk with you on an individual basis.
