Samantha attended the University of Nevada School of Medicine with the intention of going into family medicine, with an emphasis in integrative medicine. She co-chaired the integrative medicine interest group, and brought alternative healers to the medical school to introduce other students to new modalities. She also traveled to India to learn more about alternative therapies, fueling an interest in acupressure and Ayurveda.
Through her own healing path, Samantha has learned firsthand the importance of self-care, healing touch, and trusting your body. Her interests include hypnosis, osteopathic manipulative therapy, spirituality, and mind-body medicine. Areas of medicine that she is particularly passionate about include women's health and maternity care, chronic headaches and transgender medicine.
