About

Ryan Kipp, MD, is an electrophysiologist at UW Health. An electrophysiologst is a cardiologist with additional training in the management of cardiac arrhythmias and treats patients with heart rhythm disorders.

Dr. Kipp’s clinical interest is electrical problems of the heart. His focus is on abnormal heart rhythms that come from the bottom chambers of the heart (ventricles), including tachycardia (fast heart rate), ventricular fibrillation (irregular heart rhythm) and premature ventricular complexes (extra heartbeats).

Dr. Kipp’s care philosophy is to listen to his patients and address their fears and questions up front. He also helps patients understand their conditions and choose a treatment based on their goals.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Kipp is an associate professor iin the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Department of MedicineHis research focuses on healthcare disparities in the treatment of heart rhythm disorders.

In his free time, Dr. Kipp enjoys being outdoors, hiking and biking.

The most rewarding part of taking care of patients is being able to help them understand what is going on and their different treatment options. When we can’t cure them, we can still help control their conditions and make them feel better.
