Richard Bruce, MD, is a radiologist at UW Health and an associate professor and vice chair of Informatics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Department of Radiology. Dr. Bruce provides state-of-the-art imaging services to diagnose and treat medical conditions, diseases and injuries.

Among the techniques Dr. Bruce utilizes are magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), fluoroscopy (continuous x-rays to create real-time video of internal body organs), neuroradiology (imaging used to diagnose and treat brain, spine, head and neck conditions) and interoperative MRI or iMRI (imaging used during brain surgery).

Dr. Bruce’s research focuses on the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) within the field of medical imaging and how the use of AI can help doctors give patients the best care possible.
