Dr. Richard's clinical interests within UW Health's Pain Management program include individual and group psychotherapy for patients with a variety of health conditions. Her focus is with patients who have pain and headaches, as well as issues of adjustment to chronic medical conditions and mood and anxiety disorders. Dr. Richard's interventions are focused on cognitive behavioral and interpersonal approaches to the management of health and secondary psychological issues, learning coping skills for managing pain and chronic health conditions, anxiety and stress management, meditation and mindfulness based approaches, group-based interventions, and relaxation and imagery training.
