About

Molly Hinshaw, MD, is a dermatologist and dermatopathologist at UW Health and serves as the director of the Nail Clinic.  As a dermatologist, she treats all types of skin and nail disorders, including inflammatory, infectious and cancerous conditions. As a dermatopathologist, she diagnoses skin disorders using a microscope.

Dr. Hinshaw’s clinical interest is nail disorders. She also cares for patients who have melanoma, squamous cell carcinoma, psoriasis, eczema and atopic dermatitis.

She aims to provide the highest quality and most efficient diagnosis and treatment plan, so her patients can begin to see improvements as quickly as possible.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Hinshaw is a professor in the Department of Dermatology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, where she serves as section chief of the Dermatopathology Laboratory. She also participates in clinical translational research and focuses on skin and nail inflammatory and infectious disorders, nail disorders and nail skin cancer.

In her free time, Dr. Hinshaw enjoys traveling, cooking, playing the piano, running, downhill skiing, scuba diving and spending time with her family and friends.

I went into health care to help people live their healthiest lives so that they can do the things they enjoy. I love caring for people of all ages and treating multiple generations within a single family.
