Michael J. MacDonald, MD, earned his medical degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, completed his residency at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, and completed fellowship training in pediatric endocrinology and diabetes at Harvard Medical School, Boston. Dr. MacDonald is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in pediatric endocrinology and pediatrics. He has a special clinical interest in children with diabetes, especially atypical diabetes, and his research interests are pediatric diabetes and the biochemistry of the pancreatic insulin-producing cell.
