About

Marty Mozena, DO, is a UW Health internal medicine doctor at UW Health and an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

Dr. Mozena cares for patients over the age of 18 with a wide range of health concerns. He regularly helps people manage chronic health conditions, such as hypertension (high blood pressure), hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol) and diabetes. Dr. Mozena also cares for people with minor orthopedic injuries, such as ankle sprains and knee pain.

Dr. Mozena takes the time to get to know his patients and understand where they’re coming from. He stresses open communication and listening. Dr. Mozena starts by working to understand each patient’s goals. He then works with them to create a treatment plan that is realistic and adaptable to their lifestyle.

Outside of work, Dr. Mozena enjoys spending time with his four children and coaching basketball.

My favorite part of taking care of patients is when I get opportunities to take them off medications once they’ve been successful with lifestyle changes, such as healthy diet and exercise.
