About

Lisa M. Kaufman, MD, is an internal medicine doctor at UW Health and a clinical assistant professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Department of Medicine. She provides preventive care and treats adults with a wide-array of medical concerns.

In addition to providing treatment for acute illnesses and injuries, Dr. Kaufman helps manage chronic health conditions and coordinates care with specialists as needed. She also offers non-surgical gynecologic care, as well as mental health treatment for anxiety and depression.

Dr. Kaufman enjoys working with the diverse group of patients in her practice. She aims to understand what each person's goals are for their medical care and works to blend those goals with best care practices to achieve optimal outcomes.

Outside of work, Dr. Kaufman enjoys being active outdoors with her family and dogs.

It’s rewarding to have long-term, enjoyable and productive relationships with the patients I see. That’s the great part of being a primary care provider.
