Kristopher Schroeder, MD, is a UW Health anesthesiologist and professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He specializes in acute pain medicine and regional anesthesia.

Dr. Schroeder is responsible for perioperative (before, during and after surgery) pain management. Understanding that each patient has unique needs, he carefully personalizes treatment to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Schroeder serves as interim vice chair of education and vice chair of faculty development in the Department of Anesthesiology and conducts research evaluating the aspects of perioperative pain management.

In his free time, Dr. Schroeder enjoys writing.
