About

Krista Vandenberg, NP, is a nurse practitioner at UW Health. She helps older patients manage chronic illnesses, injuries from falling, dementia, memory loss and other age-related conditions.

Krista specializes in providing long-term memory care that begins with communicating clearly with patients about their diagnosis, condition and treatments. She explains diagnostic brain imaging and other test results and helps patients understand treatment options, medication and lifestyle adjustments.

Krista creates tailored plans that suit her patients’ personal health care goals and works to help patients’ review and simplify their medication plans if possible.

Krista also works to help patients manage the behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia and assist those who are undergoing physical therapy and also offers guidance and support for family caregivers.

In her free time, Krista enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two daughters. She also likes to play both indoor and sand volleyball and is a big fan of the UW volleyball team.

Growing older can be difficult, even for our healthiest patients. I want my patients to feel seen and heard.
