About

Katherine Sampene, MD, is a UW Health obstetrician and gynecologist who cares for both pregnant and non-pregnant patients. She provides low-risk and high-risk pregnancy care and treats other reproductive conditions. Dr. Sampene also is a clinical associate professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

Dr. Sampene treats a wide variety of conditions related to the cervix, uterus and ovaries, including fibroids (non-cancerous uterine growths) and endometriosis (tissue growth outside of the uterus). She enjoys educating her patients on their condition and working together to create a care plan tailored to each person.

It’s important to Dr. Sampene that her patients are at the center of her care. She communicates with them and ensures everyone is working together toward the same goals.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Sampene enjoys exercising, swimming and spending time with her children.

I really enjoy working with my patients and helping them figure out how to be the healthiest version of themselves.
