Dr. Beckman received her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Marquette University in 2000 and completed postdoctoral fellowship training in Health Psychology at the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita. Research interests include psychological predictors of surgery outcome, as well as laughter and positive psychology. Clinical interests include working with patients on mind-body interactions, health behavior change, illness in an interpersonal context, and existential approaches to chronic illness. Dr. Beckman is licensed by the State of Wisconsin.
