About

Hannah Copp, CNM, is a certified nurse midwife at UW Health. Hannah cares for women of all ages, beginning with menarche (first period) through menopause. She offers pregnancy and postpartum care, as well as general women’s health and gynecological services.

Taking a holistic approach to pregnancy care, Hannah asks patients about their physical symptoms and emotional well-being. She provides education about how the body changes during pregnancy and offers strategies to cope with the discomfort pregnancy can bring.

In her role as a nurse midwife, Hannah asks patients to describe their vision for their labor and birth experience — including whether they want medicine. She encourages partners to attend prenatal visits to be well-prepared to support the mother during labor and delivery.

Hannah’s goal is to help women feel empowered, seen and heard as they prepare to give birth and become parents. When necessary, she collaborates with other professionals within UW Health to make sure all her patients’ medical needs are addressed.

When not caring for patients, Hannah enjoys running, reading and knitting.

The most exciting, rewarding part of my job is helping women have babies and take good care of themselves, before during and after pregnancy.
