Faculty, University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public HealthDr. Gauthier’s research seeks to understand the pathogenesis of the thermally dimorphic fungi at the molecular level using Blastomyces dermatitidis as a model organism. As a physician-scientist his goal is to bring the research findings at the bench into the clinic to improve the care and clinical outcomes of patients with invasive fungal infections.
