Dr. Gillian M. Battino is board-certified in radiology and is a member of the UW Breast Center. After completion of her residency, she worked in private practice as a general radiologist until 2010 when she returned to complete a Breast Imaging Fellowship and focus on issues of global health. Her special interests are breast imaging and intervention and health care access for the underserved in global communities, as well as global health education. She co-founded the University of Wisconsin chapter of RAD-AID, founded the Global Outreach Radiology (GO-Rad) group and sits on the Graduate Medical Education Global Task Force Committee. Currently, she is involved in a breast imaging project in Thailand and an ultrasound project in Nicaragua, both focused on access, quality and mortality reduction.
