About

Dena Piechowski, NP, is a UW Health nurse practitioner who specializes in internal medicine and osteoarthritis.

Dena has a special interest in managing chronic health issues, including osteoarthritis, diabetes, coronary artery disease and thyroid conditions. She also specializes in treating migraines and other types of headaches.

Holistic care is at the core of her practice, so Dena works to enhance her patients’ overall well-being — body, mind and soul. She enjoys getting to know patients beyond their medical issues and helping them make the best possible medical decisions for themselves. Her goal is to help patients live long, healthy lives.

Outside of work, Dena enjoys spending time with her family and friends, tending to her garden and caring for her animals, which include a cat, dogs, chickens and even bees. She also enjoys spending time outdoors, biking, hiking and kayaking.

Each person is unique and deserves a care plan tailored to their lifestyle.
