About

Courtney Hoy, NP, is a nurse practitioner at UW Health.

Courtney cares for patients who struggle with sleep disorders such as snoring, obstructive sleep apnea (frequent pauses in breathing), insomnia (trouble falling asleep or staying asleep), narcolepsy (excessive daytime sleepiness) and circadian rhythm disorders (timing problems with the body’s internal sleep/wake cycles).

Working with a team of sleep specialists, Courtney offers patients a range of treatment options, including special tools, such as the C-PAP device. This device is a machine that uses mild air pressure to keep the airways open during sleep. She also provides medication, counseling and helpful advice to promote good sleep through behavior and lifestyle changes. During office visits, Courtney works to create a friendly atmosphere. She listens closely to each patient’s concerns and addresses questions.

Her goal is to show patients how to get the high-quality sleep that is vital for disease prevention and overall good health.

When not caring for patients at the sleep clinic, Courtney enjoys gardening and caring for her children.

It’s rewarding when patients return to our sleep clinic and tell us how much better they feel after treatment.
