About

Christos Kyriakopoulos, MD, is a UW Health medical oncologist (cancer doctor) and an associate professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology, Medical Oncology and Palliative Care at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

Dr. Kyriakopoulos diagnoses and treats patients with cancers of the genitourinary system (reproductive and urinary organs) such as prostate, kidney and bladder cancer. In addition to diagnostic care, he offers patients targeted treatments, including chemotherapy and immunotherapy.

Dedicated to making a positive impact on people’s lives, Dr. Kyriakopoulos strives to be a partner to patients as they navigate life-changing diagnoses. Understanding the fear that many of his patients face, he takes time to listen to their concerns, answer any questions and discuss every step of their care plan. He collaborates with a team of specialists to tailor treatments to fit each patient’s unique needs.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Kyriakopoulos conducts research focused on developing new drug therapies to treat genitourinary cancers. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the European Society of Medical Oncology.

In his free time, Dr. Kyriakopoulos enjoys gardening and other yard work.

I strive to walk with my patients through their health care journeys. I am committed to helping people live longer, better lives.
