About

Briana Jelenc, MD, is an internal medicine doctor at UW Health and an associate clinical professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Jelenc offers primary care and preventive health services for adults aged 18 and over. She diagnoses and treats a wide-range of acute illnesses and chronic conditions, including diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, lung disease and obesity.

With a special interest in helping people manage chronic conditions, Dr. Jelenc enjoys getting to know her patients personally. Whenever possible, she offers several treatment options and encourages people to actively participate in their care decisions and follow their care plans.

Dr. Jelenc considers it rewarding to serve patients as they celebrate their achievements and to support them through difficult times. She hopes each patient leaves her clinic with ideas to improve their overall health and well-being.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Jelenc enjoys running and spending time with family.

For me, the joy of internal medicine comes down to finding the right treatment plan for each individual patient, taking into account their unique preferences, their other medical conditions and what works best for their life.
