About

Angela Deutsch, NP, is a nurse practitioner at UW Health. She specializes in surgical and nonsurgical spine care, and commonly treats a range of spine conditions such as herniated discs, lumbar and cervical stenosis, spondylolysis, spondylolisthesis and spine fractures.

In addition to working in a surgical setting, Angela helps patients determine if spine surgery is the appropriate treatment for them or if nonsurgical options, such as medications and exercises, may be effective. When surgery is needed, she works closely with orthopedic spine surgeons to coordinate care.

Helping patients regain the ability to do the things they enjoy most without pain is the primary goal of Angela’s practice. She takes a holistic approach to care and strives to educate patients about their conditions and treatment options so they can make informed decisions.

As a health care provider, it is important to Angela to practice with understanding and respect for different cultures, practices and beliefs. She has sought out training in these areas as well as how to meet the health care needs of LGBTQIA+ patients.

Outside of work, Angela enjoys spending time in nature, reading and spending time with her family.

I hope I can help patients live the lives they want to be living, pain-free.
