About

Alexis Eastman, MD, is a UW Health geriatrician and an associate clinical professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

Dr. Eastman provides primary care for older adults in both the clinic and inpatient facilities, such as nursing homes and memory care units. Her patients are typically 65 years of age or older with multiple medical conditions. Dr. Eastman treats frailty, memory disorders, frequent falls and other concerns.

Many of Dr. Eastman’s patients take multiple medications for different conditions. She checks them all for drug interactions or unnecessary medications. She spends time getting to know all of her patients as unique and special individuals.

Dr. Eastman  has a special interest in memory disorders. She evaluates and treats dementia symptoms and diseases such as Alzheimer’s. She is part of a team of doctors and specialists, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, social workers and others. They address medical problems as well as social or emotional concerns.

In her free time, Dr. Eastman enjoys gardening and carefully tracks the success of her annual tomato crop.

I have the best patients. I love seeing them, and we often find answers by collaborating with the patient and our multispecialty team.
