Alan Irgang, LCSW, is a Senior Therapist with the UW Health HIV/AIDS Comprehensive Care Program who provides mental health services. Prior to relocating from Chicago in 2011 to join UW Health, Alan maintained a private practice for many years providing outpatient psychotherapeutic treatment to individuals, couples and groups, and specialized in the treatment of depressive disorders, bereavement, addictions, sexuality and gender issues and HIV/AIDS. His employment history also includes several years at a hospital-based HIV clinic affiliated with the University of Chicago. Alan also was on the faculty of Loyola University Chicago’s School of Social Work, where he developed and taught courses in human sexuality.
