Dr. Rose is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in both General Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as Gynecologic Oncology. He is a Fellow in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a nationally known expert in quality of life of gynecologic cancer patients and the use of humor in cancer patients. He embraces minimally invasive surgical interventions for gynecologic cancer such as traditional laparoscopy and robotically assisted laparoscopic surgical techniques.

 

In 2007, Dr. Rose was named a Liz Tilberis Research Scholar from the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, Inc. for his research on the Notch 1 signaling pathway in ovarian cancer. He has served on the Ovarian Cancer Committee in the Gynecologic Oncology Group since 2010, helping to shape the future of ovarian cancer clinical trials. He also serves on the Education Committee for the Society of Gynecologic Oncology, the Steering Committee for the Wisconsin Cancer Council and the Editorial Board for the journal Gynecologic Oncology Case Reports. Dr. Rose is also the program director of the University of Wisconsin Fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology. He was nominated twice for a UW Health "Rising Star" award.
