Take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about the latest advances in, and treatments for, macular degeneration, presented by the University of Wisconsin Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences and the Wisconsin Council of the Blind and Visually Impaired. Ophthalmologists from the University of Wisconsin and UW Health Eye Clinics and an expert panel of speakers will discuss important issues, skills and solutions for those facing vision loss due to macular degeneration.

  • Free and Low Cost Resources: A workshop for support group leaders and senior center staff. As a caregiver, you are presented with a variety of challenges to offer effective assistance to your patients. We'll help you navigate some of the best resources available at a low cost or no cost.
  • Mom is "Legally Blind" - Now What Do I Do?: Support for family members of persons with low vision. You're not alone! Marshall Flax will offer advice, information and ideas so you can understand the diagnosis and help your loved one.
