Aaron Perry Run and Fitness Walk

10:30am registration

The 3.1 mile route begins at Madison's Penn Park and travels North on Fisher Street to the Wingra Bike trail. The route continues northeast on the bike trail to Olin Park, and then turns around and concludes back at Penn Park.

UW Health is proud to contribute to the second annual Aaron Perry Run and Fitness Walk, a 3.1-mile run/walk started by Aaron Perry, the first African-American diabetic to complete an Ironman triathlon.

Perry is also the inspiration behind the Rebalanced Life Wellness Assocation, whose stated mission is to expand the interest and awareness of how regular physical activity benefits communities of color and help people with chronic conditions like diabetes break through the barriers to fitness so that they can achieve a better quality-of-living.

Proceeds will assist diabetic community members with their effort to better control their diabetes through exercise.
