The 41st Annual Emergency Care and Trauma Symposium is designed to help emergency medical personnel improve their professional performance in the field. This conference will benefit all levels of EMS, nursing, and other allied health professionals.
 
Note: This symposium satisfies the EMT Basic alternate refresher requirements for up to 24 hours.
 
Each session will update and reinforce the participant's knowledge, techniques and skills through real-life trauma and medical examples. Additionally, three emergency medical services will present actual cases that tested their skills and resources. Participants can also put their abilities to the test by participating in the EMS Olympics and the brand new Trauma Triage Skills Lab.
 
New for 2009
 
Simulations: Plan to attend the tractor rollover and grain bin extrication simulations on Wednesday evening. These skills apply to areas beyond the farm and are important for all EMS professionals.
 
Lunch Discussions: Enjoyed the lunch table discussion last year? Share your expertise during lunch on Friday and apply to serve as a discussion facilitator.

EMS Olympics
 
Back by popular demand is the EMS Olympics on Thursday evening. Working as an individual or a team, the EMS Olympians will utilize their knowledge and test their skills in a fun and competitive controlled simulation.
