Caps for the Cure is a fundraising campaign that gives students permission to wear hats to school by donating to American Family Children's Hospital. Kids get to help other kids by raising money to advance pediatric cancer research while providing hope for patients and their families.Inspired by Kristina Schultz (pictured), Caps for the Cure raised more than $49,000 since May 2006.
How does “Caps for the Cure” work?
Most schools will want to coordinate this effort to take place on one specific day. Encourage all students to support pediatric cancer research by donating $1 and wearing a hat at school.
2008-2009 Caps for the Cure
Many schools will be hosting a Caps Day on Friday, April 24. Please join our campaign. For more information, please contact Kylee Carolfi Malik at (608) 890-9308.
What happens to the money that is raised?
Our Beat Childhood Cancer Fund supports the Childhood Cancer Program at American Family Children's Hospital. Your donation to this fund will positively impact local families through direct support programs and by sponsoring pediatric cancer research.
Will our total collection be announced?
Each school’s total and the final total will be posted on this site. An announcement of the total amount raised and each participating school will be made during the Champions for Kids Radiothon.
