Quality Reports: Breast Conservation Surgery
The UW Health Breast Center is committed to helping all patients improve their breast health at all stages of life.
Breast Conservation Surgery
Our surgeons opt to perform breast conservation surgery for patients who do not require mastectomy. Breast conservation surgery is less invasive than mastectomy and removes only the part of the breast with cancerous tissue.
Our Quality Measures
The table below displays the percentage of female breast cancer patients with AJCC Stage 0, I, or II breast cancer who undergo breast conservation surgery compared to mastectomy.
