UW Health hematologists focus on the treatment of hematologic malignancies, including acute and chronic leukemia, myeloma and lymphoma. Hematologists also treat patients with myelodysplastic syndromes and a variety of other bone marrow disorders, including blood coagulation, platelets, red blood cells and white blood cells.
 
Inpatient services focus on the management of oncologic and hematologic problems and include administration of chemotherapy, management of tumor-related side effects and planning for the needs of patients and families in the transition from hospital to home care.
