Part of our mission is to ensure that we have healthy children living in healthy communities.
 
Providing health care to the children of greater Dane County community is our mission, and our staff devotes many hours every week to reaching out to the community and passing on health information that can keep your kids safe.
 
The advocacy and injury prevention activities at American Family Children's Hospital include:

The goal of the Kohl’s Safety Center is to offer a variety of child safety products and injury prevention education materials to families at the American Family Children’s Hospital and throughout Wisconsin. At the Safety Center, you can shop for products, receive educational materials and ask our trained staff questions about child safety.

The station's services include:
  • Making adjustments and suggestions on existing safety seats
  • Teaching parents how to properly install the seats
  • Lending special-needs safety seats to families whose children do not fit in standard seats due to their medical condition

Safe Kids logo
 
The mission of the Madison Area Safe Kids Coalition is to prevent unintentional injuries, the leading cause of death among children 14 years of age or younger.
Ronald McDonald Care Mobile
 
For several years, the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile has provided dental care for more than 2,000 children from underserved families in southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois counties.
