Amazing Kids, Amazing Stories: Shai's Story
In 2009, 12-year-old Shai was diagnosed with a rare, potentially fatal abdominal tumor. After initial surgery in La Crosse, Shai came to American Family Children's Hospital, where pediatric surgeon-in-chief Dennis Lund, MD, and oncology surgeon Sharon Weber, MD, teamed up to develop a surgical plan.
