Asthma, Allergy and Pulmonary Research Opportunities

The University of Wisconsin Asthma, Allergy, and Pulmonary Research Center in Madison, Wisconsin, is a nationally known research facility that has been studying asthma for over 30 years.

Our asthma, allergy and pulmonary research department conducts studies in both children and adults. Our research efforts, along with the thousands of people who have been in our studies, have helped to develop new asthma medications that may include those you currently use.

The research conducted at the UW Asthma, Allergy and Pulmonary Research Center helps the medical community to answer a particular question pertaining to the disease of asthma.

A new drug or device must go through a series of well-defined trials. These research trials are intended to learn about the safety and effectiveness of a treatment in study participants. These trials provide new treatments that might otherwise be unavailable because the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has not yet approved the treatment.
