Mission
University of Wisconsin Medical Foundation (UWMF) supports the teaching, research and service missions of the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health by promoting the delivery of excellent and innovative patient care by faculty and staff who serve local, regional, national and international populations.
Vision
Through the work of UWMF, the School of Medicine and Public Health faculty, and their partners, UW Health will be recognized as one of the premier health care delivery systems in the country, and as the preeminent local and regional provider of health care services. We will create a health system that is equal to the excellence of our faculty and to the needs of the communities we serve.
UWMF will be part of a health system that receives national recognition for the discovery, invention and cultivation of synergies between patient care, research and medical education. We will continuously expand the definition of high quality health care by taking the best aspects of traditional academic health care and melding them with other practical and effective models to find new ways of delivering care and measuring the outcomes of our care. In doing so, we will establish the benchmarks for “best practice.”
UWMF will support the School of Medicine and Public Health faculty’s care for an expanding patient population in those areas that link to our strategic objectives. Over time, this population will be measurably healthier and happier with its care.
Faculty and staff will be highly satisfied with their decision to work within our system.
The School of Medicine and Public Health faculty will include a group of nationally recognized leaders in health services research, innovative clinical operations, and the rigorous assessment of clinical service value.
