UW Medical Foundation Board of Directors: Jennifer Alexander
Ms. Alexander is public member of the UW Medical Foundation Board and an experienced executive with expertise in business, government and education. She served for nine years as President of the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce. She was one of several leaders who formed Thrive, a regional economic development coalition, and served as its president for five years.
Ms. Alexander was a principal of Alexander, Wegner and Associates, a consulting firm focusing on workforce and economic development for the U.S. Department of Labor, UW System, Deloitte Consulting and others. While serving as Secretary for the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, she advised the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services regarding welfare reform and testified before Congressional subcommittees regarding workforce issues.
Ms. Alexander has an M.S. degree in curriculum and supervision and a B.S. in special education, and she attended the John F. Kennedy School of Government Executives program. She is also a certified strategic planner with Cambridge Associates. In 2013, she was the recipient of the Best of Madison Business Award.
