Vice President, Marketing and Public Affairs
Elizabeth Zaher was named vice president of Marketing and Public Affairs for UW Health on September 14, 2011. She leads an integrated team supporting UW Hospital and Clinics, UW Medical Foundation and the UW School of Medicine and Public Health while providing additional support to UW School of Nursing and UW School of Pharmacy.
Beth provides strategic leadership in strengthening UW Health's brand both internally and externally throughout the community, region and state. She also oversees qualitative research and analysis of marketplace activities on behalf of UW Health and its community partners.
In her role, she directs market planning, execution and effectiveness tracking, media relations, advertising, corporate and marketing communications, community relations, annual giving, graphics services, and local, state and federal relations. Additionally, Beth oversees UW Health's office of e-Health Innovation and Policy, which is responsible for UW Health's award-winning public Web site.
Most recently, Beth has served as vice president of Marketing for UW Health since 2009. Prior to her UW Health position, Beth was Vice President for Marketing at the UW Medical Foundation for 11 years and has held a number of key positions in health care marketing throughout Wisconsin. In addition to her work with local, state and national health care organizations, she has also contributed many publications and presentations to her field. Beth has a bachelor's degree in communications from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
